Just a few days ago GCT Studio put up photos of the Greens of upcoming special character Ito Ayako. And just now they did it again, this time with the first miniature of the upcoming Ito Starter: the Priestess. Strangely enough the greens were put up not on the GCT page, but on the “Through Gamers Goggles”-Blog – not that I mind that.
While GCT did their Indiegogo-Campaign for the Ito, all we got for the priestess was this artwork:
Its fine enough, but to be honest I couldn’t really imagine how the miniature would end up at that time…
But now… look at that Green:
Isn’t she splendid? I think she turned out a lot more beautiful than the artwork and her face – my only point of criticism with Ito Ayako – ended up very fine this time.
And here’s her back… now that one turned out differently from what’s on the artwork. I had somehow expected that they would actually sculpt all those scales on the priestesses’ body, but they didn’t – if you want them, you have to paint them…. thus, even though it is a splendid miniature, I cannot help but worry about the painting, though. I am pretty sure that will be way above my skills to paint all those scales from the artwork or to replace it with some painted transparent fabric… I guess in the end I will settle with plain skin, though that might make this Priestess more… erotic than intended… not that my painting skills will allow for some “erotic” skin…
Anyway, I am tremendously looking forward to see the greens of the other Ito miniatures – especially the two “basic” Ito samurai that will be included in the starter. They will be the miniatures that are the weakest sculpts in the starters of the other factions – I hope that this time they will turn out as great as the priestess and Ayako!
